Langtang Region Peak Climbing

Langtang is a beautiful region which lies to the north of the Kathmandu valley  at Nepal-Tibet ( China) border. It offers an array of natural and cultural diversities with spectacular mountain views of Langtang and Annapurna Himalayas.

Being easily accessible from Kathmandu by road and spending the first night at lovely hill town of Syabrubesi, we begin the actual trek the following day.
The trail is zigzag, passing through Rhododendron and Conifer forests and goes up to high Alpine Yak pastures, glaciers, moraines and ultimately at the foothills of  peaks. Trekkers and climbers will have a wonderful opportunity to get insights into the unique cultural heritage & traditional lifestyle of the Tamang and Sherpa ethnic groups of people.. A visit to Langtang valley, Helambu area, Kyanjing Gompa, Cheese factory and Lake Gosaikunda are the major highlights of the Langtang region. There are number of impressive ancient Buddhist Monasteries sighted around the local Tamang and Sherpa villages. Peak climbing in the Langtang region ensures personal satisfaction and great rewards for any climbing enthusiasts.

Comparatively, it is least expensive and easy to organize trekking peaks for climbing in Langtang region. We can reach the region in a one-day’s drive from Kathmandu and have enough time to acclimatize for the ascent. All the trekking peaks are not difficult and very safe. Even novice climbers can easily scale the summit without involving risk at the limited timeframe.
Despite the beauty and accessibility, the Langtang region peaks attract only few trekkers as compared to  the Everest and Annapurna peaks.  Popular trekking peaks of the Langtang region are- Langsisa Ri PeakGanja-la Chuli Peak, Paldor Peak and Yala Peak.
