Lhasa to Kathmandu Cycle Ride

Trip Code: TNC

22 Days

On the way to Kathmandu, Nepal from Lhasa, Tibet

If you are seeking for the ultimate adventure across Tibet, a cycle ride from Lhasa to Kathmandu could be a wonderful experience. You ride through a land of dramatic and often surreal terrains inhabited by nomadic settlements, hidden valleys and shimmering bluish lakes. After two days acclimatization in Lhasa, your ride begins to Kathmandu covering up approximately 1100 km distance, crossing over high altitude desert, 5 awesome mountains passes, stop by small Tibetan settlements and visit monasteries. During the ride, you will make vertical descent and ascent several times.

In the wide arid plains, you will encounter nomadic herdsmen with yaks. It's the only trip in the world where you can visit the North Face of Everest Base Camp, off-road to Rongbuk Valley by cycle. You will be accompanied by our 4WD vehicle during the whole ride. Our vehicle carries your personal gear, camping equipment, cooking equipment and food; you could also catch a ride in our vehicle if you're tired. Your cycle ride will only cover a small section of the routes, for it would be unrealistic and time-consuming to cover the whole distance by cycle.

Trek Himalayan fulfills your dream to ride on a cycle through the most popular route of the Tibetan plateau in Tibet. For more details about the trip, please contact us at
