Panchase Trek

Trip Code: APT

14 Days

View of Panchase Bhanjyang

Panchase trekking is short but medium- hard in difficulty level, starting from Pokhara. Panchase is the name of the mid-hill that lies on the south-west side of Pokhara bordering Kaski to  the east, Parbat to  the west and Syangja to  the south.  While trekking, you will enjoy unforgettable close -up Himalayan Mountain Views, incredible ethnic and cultural diversity with wildness experience. Panchase hill is inhabited by different ethnic communities such as Brahmin, Magar and Gurung . The surrounding area has been well- preserved for biodiversity and natural heritage sites, the rural settlements dominated by Gurung communities are spectacular.

The journey begins in Pokhara from where you will be transferred to the trek starting point with a short climb. En-route you will enjoy stunning views of beautiful mountains. Panchase hill lies off the beaten tourist path and it is unlikely that you will meet any other hikers around the hill. The topography varies from subtropical valleys abundant with banana trees and rice paddies to high ridges beautified by rhododendron forest. The highest elevation of the Panchase hilltop is 2600 meters from this point one can see a mesmerizing sunrise over the snowy peaks early morning.

Panchase hill trekking is highly recommended for those who are interested in exploring local culture, easy walking trail and non touristy areas in the Annapurna region. It is an ideal hill- walking in the mid-hill region for family with children, elderly people and for those who have a short time but would like to see cultural sites and enjoy natural exploration. Trekkers slowly walk through pristine wilderness with several stops in mid-hills villages, meet the local people and enjoy the view of Hills and Himalayan Mountains.

On return journey we walk back to Pokhara through Ghorepani-Poonhill trail and end at Nayapul.  The best season for Panchase hill trekking is Autumn (October and November and Spring (March & April). Anyone can do this trek as there is no age barrier nor fitness levels.

Note

Panchase trekking trail is not affected by the earthquake of April 25, 2015. We are regularly organizing Panchase trek for our international travelers in completely safe environment.
